Bye Bye Zambrano?
Carlos Zambrano exploded again following a bad inning at US Cellular field, at the long famous Cubs vs. Sox rivalry game. Lou Pinnella asked Zambrano to leave the game after yelling and cursing in the dugout. Zambrano Ccaimed he was trying to pump up the team after a shaky inning, players say Zambrano used obscene language and yelled at the team out of frustration. Even after the outburst, Zambrano is getting help and will hopefully still be a member of the Chicago Cubs when his susspension is up.
Cubs get first sweep of season
The Chicago Cubs got the first sweep of the season as the Cubs dominated the Arizona Diamondbacks in a 3 game series at chase field. The Cubs dominated the d-backs as Aramis Ramirez hit three home runs to lead the charge at Chase field, as Chicago romped to dominate.
The pitching was also good, as Tom Gorzellany, Carlos Silva, and Ryan Dempster all collected wins to sweep the d-backs.
This could be the start of a good run, as the Cubs could use a run to get them back into the playoff race.
Cubs Keep Quade
Mike Quade will be the manager of the Chicago Cubs for the 2011 season through the 2013 season. Why? Mike Quade became the face of the Cubs at the end of the disasterous 2010 season. He gave the cubs a spark of hope and a hopeful ending note. Many critics are angry at the move, saying Quade didn't play any tough teams. I, however, disagree. Mike has been the 3rd base coach for a long time and knows his players. Furthermore, he will be giving it his all, as he has a lot to live up to. This move came at a price, though. Ryne Sanburg, the hall of famer that is beloved all over Chicago, left the Cubs. Though no reason was given, it's pretty obvious he was angry at not getting the position. Quade has a lot to live up to, but there will be no way to tell until the 2011 season. Go Cubs Fans and go CUBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
